Dance Strength & Performance Training in Denver

Our Dancer & Ballet Training Program is designed to help dancers build the strength, power, stability, and resilience needed to perform at their highest level. Through intentional, coach-led training, we focus on the key physical qualities that support better movement, stronger technique, improved control, and reduced injury risk.

Each session is built around the demands of dance, with an emphasis on core strength, hip stability, ankle and foot strength, single-leg control, landing mechanics, mobility, and total-body power. Our goal is not to replace dance training, but to support it — helping dancers move with more confidence, handle the physical demands of class and performance, and develop a stronger foundation for long-term success.

At Proper Fitness, we combine expert coaching with a data-driven approach to help dancers train with purpose, improve performance, and stay healthier throughout the season.

How Our Dance Training Program Works

1. Dancer Profiling
Our program starts with a detailed performance and movement assessment using Output Sports VBT technology. This allows us to evaluate key components of dancer performance, including mobility, stability, muscular endurance, strength, and power. By gathering objective data, we can better understand each dancer’s strengths, limitations, and areas of opportunity.

2. An Intentional & Tailored Approach To Fitness
we build a tailored training plan designed to support the specific demands of ballet and dance. The focus is on improving strength without sacrificing mobility or flexibility, developing power and control, and reducing injury risk through better movement quality, stability, and total-body resilience. We offer both 1-1 private training as well as semi-private group training, all with the focus of intimate, intentional coaching to ensure the highest quality of fitness and performance training.

3. Year-round Programs
Because a dancer’s needs change throughout the year, our programming is built around the season. Training is adjusted based on performance demands, rehearsal volume, competition schedules, and recovery needs. This individualized, season-based approach helps each dancer continue progressing while staying healthy, strong, and prepared to perform at their highest potential.
