PROPER FITNESS

Personal Trainer Position

About Proper Fitness

Proper Fitness is a premier personal training studio in Denver's Santa Fe Arts District, built for people who want more than random workouts. We combine intentional coaching, data-driven assessments, and personalized nutrition guidance to help clients build strength, improve performance, and create fitness that lasts for years, not weeks. Our services include 1:1 personal training, semi-private training, nutrition coaching, HYROX training, and dancer strength and performance training.

The Proper Fitness Culture

At Proper Fitness, culture isn't a poster on the wall. It's how we show up every day, for our clients and for each other. The standard we hold as a team is the standard our clients feel the moment they walk through the door, which makes our culture the foundation of everything we do.

Being part of the Proper Fitness team means taking pride in doing things the proper way: coaching with purpose, caring about every rep and every client, and holding yourself to a high standard even when no one is watching. It means celebrating each other's wins, giving and receiving honest feedback, and always looking for ways to get better.

Our Core Values

  • Intention. Everything we do has a purpose. From programming to conversations, we act with thought and care, never on autopilot.

  • Clarity. We communicate openly and honestly with clients and teammates so everyone knows where they stand and where they're going.

  • Connection. Relationships drive results. We get to know our clients as people and build a community where everyone feels they belong.

  • Consistency. Lasting results come from showing up day after day. We model the reliability and discipline we ask of our clients.

  • Growth. We're never finished. We stay curious, keep learning, and embrace challenges as opportunities to become better coaches and people.

We're looking for someone who doesn't just fit this culture but adds to it, and who will help us instill these values in every client we serve.

The Personal Trainer Position

Why Work With Us

  • Coach the way it should be done. Every client gets individualized programming backed by movement assessments and objective performance data, not cookie-cutter workouts.

  • Train a diverse, motivated clientele. Work with everyone from people chasing strength and fat-loss goals to HYROX athletes and dancers through our partnership with Colorado Ballet Academy.

  • Grow your career. Start part-time with a clear path to full-time as your client book grows, with support and opportunities to keep developing as a coach.

  • Be part of a real community. Our studio is built on a motivating, supportive atmosphere where clients show up because they want to, and coaches do too.

  • Work with modern tools. Velocity-based training, performance testing, and the Proper Fitness app keep programming and client communication organized in one place.
